Technical Writer (Remote)

Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking an Engineering & Technical Documentation Specialist to work on a contract basis. The role involves creating, maintaining, and updating technical documentation for software, APIs, and infrastructure components. You will collaborate with engineering teams to ensure documentation aligns with product releases and architectural changes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation for software products and services.

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and support teams to gather and refine technical content.

• Ensure documentation is up-to-date with the latest product releases, API changes, and system updates.

• Write and edit user guides, API references, installation instructions, and troubleshooting materials.

• Review and validate technical content for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience writing technical documentation for software, APIs, or infrastructure systems is required.

• Proficiency in Markdown, reStructuredText, or other markup languages for documentation is required.

• Familiarity with version control systems like Git for documentation management is preferred.

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and agile methodologies is preferred.

• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts is required.
