IT Support Specialist

Consord is seeking on behalf of private yniversity an experienced and proactive IT Support Specialist to ensure the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide timely support to faculty, staff, and students. This role involves maintaining smart classroom technology, troubleshooting IT issues, and supporting virtual learning tools such as Zoom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technology Support: Provide technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students for smart boards, Zoom, and other educational tools, ensuring smooth classroom and online operations.

• System Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software, including smart boards, projectors, computers, and networking equipment.

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues in real-time related to hardware, software, and network connectivity, both in-person and remotely.

• Training and Guidance: Provide training and support to faculty and staff on the use of technology, ensuring they are comfortable with the systems in place.

• IT Infrastructure: Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security, including routine updates and system checks.

• Collaboration: Work closely with the IT department to identify opportunities for improvements and upgrades to existing systems and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience: Prior experience in IT support, especially in an educational or corporate setting, is highly desired.

• Languages: Proficiency in English and French, with strong written and spoken communication skills.

• Technical Skills: Knowledge of smart boards, Zoom, and virtual learning tools, as well as proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
