MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Mechanical Engineers for the Automotive Sector For our department in Tunisia, we are looking for Mechanical Engineers specialized in the automotive industry, to support product feasibility and development from the initial concept and design feasibility stages through to industrialization. Experience in Body and Internal Trims areas is required.

Body Area:

• BIW (Body-in-White)

• Closures

• External Trims

• Vision Systems

Interior Area:

• Instrument Panel

• Central Console

• Upper Trims

• Lower Trims

• Door Trims

• Carpets 

Technical Requirements:

• Proficiency in using CATIA V5/V6 for 3D and 2D design (Part Design, Generative Shape Design)

• Knowledge of PLM systems (Stellantis)

• General knowledge of how to build a Bill of Materials (BOM)

• Good understanding of vehicle feasibility

• General knowledge of plastic molding technologies

• General knowledge of sheet metal forming technologies

• Understanding of component homologation principles during the development phase

• Familiarity with the general vehicle development plan (project milestones and related deliverables)

• Awareness of quality objectives in the product development and production phases

• Knowledge of FMEA methodology

Requirements:

• Good command of English (mandatory)

• Technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field

• Teamwork skills, strong communication abilities, willingness to learn and grow professionally

• Good command of MS Office Suite: Word / Excel / PowerPoint

• Candidates living near the workplace are preferred
