Maintenance Engineer

We are a beverage bottling company (cans, PET, and glass) based in Freetown, Sierra Leone. 
We are urgently seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer and a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will provide technical expertise to identify the causes of equipment failures and improve reliability. The ideal candidate will be able to define and implement appropriate corrective actions to prevent breakdowns, develop and apply rigorous inspection, testing, and maintenance procedures, work effectively in a team, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to motivate colleagues.

Main responsibilities :

• Determine the causes of the equipment failure
• Failure analysis techniques to determine the root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions
• Participate in the planning of equipment shutdowns, repairs in case of breakdowns, and preventive maintenance procedures.
• coordinated inspections
• Cost control of spare parts and inventory

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/mechanical engineering.
• Training in electronics/electricity/mechanics
• At least 3 years of experience in beverage and packaging manufacturing is preferred.
• Good level of English in reading, writing and speaking
• Experience with programmable logic controllers, AC/DC drives, instrumentation and cranes is preferred.
• Knowledge of engineering, mechanics and electrical engineering
• Experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving to determine the root cause
• Knowledge of beverage manufacturing and packaging .

• The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Ability to work in challenging environments.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.

• Solid knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Salary plus $2000 USD net/month depending on experience and profile

1 month paid vacation plus airfare included in the contract
