QA Engineer – Embedded Systems & Hardware

As a QA Engineer for Embedded Systems and Hardware, you will design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans for our smart energy meters and IoT controllers. You will ensure seamless operation from the microcontroller level all the way to our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Validation: Develop and execute functional, performance, and stress tests for smart energy meters and related IoT products.
• Hardware & Firmware Testing: Test and debug embedded systems built around ESP32, NXP, and STM microcontrollers.
• Network Verification: Validate reliable device connectivity and data transmission over LoRaWAN networks, ensuring proper integration with our backend servers.
• System Integration: Verify end-to-end data integrity, ensuring telemetry data accurately reaches and displays on our visualization platforms.
• Defect Tracking: Identify, isolate, and document hardware bugs or firmware anomalies, working closely with the engineering team to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Field Simulation: Design physical test benches to simulate extreme field conditions (voltage fluctuations, environmental stress, network drops).

Exigences de l'emploi / Job Requirements

• Experience: Proven hands-on experience in Quality Assurance testing specifically for hardware and embedded devices.
• Technical Skills:
  • ○ Strong understanding of microcontroller architecture (ESP32, NXP, STM) and firmware debugging.
  • ○ Familiarity with IoT communication protocols, particularly LoRaWAN.
  • ○ Ability to read schematics and use standard hardware debugging tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes).
  • ○ Experience with API testing and telemetry data validation.
